4th semester
During the 4th semester of the Program, the students are required to complete their Master's thesis. The thesis should have a research-oriented character and be within the scope of the subjects covered by the Postgraduate Program. The choice of the thesis topic is based on the students' interests and after consultation with the assigned supervisor.
Regular collaboration with the supervisor is essential throughout the duration of the thesis work.
The language of the Master's thesis can be either Greek or English.
The recommended length of the thesis is 25,000 words, excluding appendices. The citation style to be used is the 7th edition of the American Psychological Association (APA style, 7th edition).
Thesis Timeline

The possibility of a three-month extension until end of October for the completion of the Master's thesis is provided by the Program's Coordinating Committee upon a well-documented request from the student and with a positive recommendation from the assigned Supervisor.
After this date, an extension for submitting the thesis can only be granted for particularly serious reasons and for a period not exceeding one semester (until the end of February).
Requests for an extension of the thesis submission must be made according to the academic calendar as follows:
In case of approval for a second extension for completing the Master's thesis (until the end of February), re-enrollment and payment of a special enrollment fee are required. To be approved, the thesis must be presented before the Examination Committee.
After approval, the thesis is submitted in .pdf format to the Postgraduate Program's Support Office during the dates specified in the academic calendar. The student is required to deposit the thesis in digital format in the Institutional Repository "Pergamos" of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (https://pergamos.lib.uoa.gr/uoa) according to the decisions of the University Senate.
